Our Mission
Your Child – Our Commitment
The choice of your child’s dental home is important. At Stanley Pediatric Dentistry your child is our commitment. The scope of our practice delivers comprehensive dental care for infants through high school graduation in a child centered environment. Our team members are highly trained and experienced professionals that set us apart from other offices. We feel it is important to have all cleanings performed by experienced Registered Dental Hygienists. Dr. Stanley is a Board Certified Pediatric Dental Specialist trained to treat children, including those with special needs or dental fears.
Office Environment
Today’s families are busy, so our practice is designed to let you make the most of your time with us. You’ll be welcomed by Gina’s Southern charm offering you a cup of coffee or bottled water. Children feel at home entertaining themselves with our dinosaur play house, computers, reading nook, and creative corner. At Stanley Pediatric Dentistry parents are welcome to stay in the lobby during appointments or be in the treatment room if they prefer. Due to space constraints, we request only one parent accompany their child in the treatment area with the exception of new patient toddler visits.
We respect your time and run a tight schedule, but we’ll always have enough time to answer your questions. At Stanley Pediatric Dentistry, parents are always welcome back in our treatment area.
We celebrate

Your Child’s First Pediatric Dental Visit
We are dedicated to great first visits...
We, along with the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, recommend you bring your child around their first birthday or 6 moths after their first tooth erupts.
During your first visit to Stanley Pediatric Dentistry, you will likely be greeted in the lobby by Gina our patient care coordinator. Gina will get you checked in and verify all paperwork is in order while your child is entertained with computer games, the dinosaur playroom, or our art corner. You will then accompany one of our specialized team members to a treatment room with a TV on the ceiling and their choice of available shows. Our team member will then give special introductory information, discuss any concerns for your child, and review tips for keeping their teeth healthy. They will walk you and your child through the steps of their first preventive care visit or cleaning. Then, Dr. Kate will join you at the end for a thorough exam to assess for decay and abnormalities, complete an oral cancer screening and orthodontic assessment. If necessary, we will outline any existing dental problems and recommended treatment. Lastly, we will complete your visit by discussing any remaining questions you may have before meeting Allison, our Treatment Coordinator, to check out and schedule your next appointment. We offer a “treat” after every appointment of Twisters Frozen Custard, organic apple sauce, or allergen free Italian Ice.
We request that you complete our First Visit Forms at least 48 hours prior to arriving for your appointment. This helps our office keep your and everyone else’s scheduled visit on time and allows us time to verify and enter your specific insurance coverage if applicable.

What is a Pediatric Dentist?
A Pediatric Dentist, like Dr. Kate, are specialists dedicated to the oral health of children and the monitoring of their facial growth and development. Our office is designed for treating children from infancy through adolescence, as well as the medically and the physically compromised.
Why choose a Pediatric Dentist?
A pediatric patient not only has a different dentition than adults but he/she may have specific dental and behavioral needs that are unique to a child. These needs may include orthodontics, dental sealants, fluoride applications or home treatments, or just simply education in oral hygiene. In addition to treating existing dental problems, our office focuses on prevention through patient and parent education. We like to feel that you and your child do not come to our office to have their “cavities fixed” but rather to prevent them. Our office provides all of the educational tools necessary for our patients to enjoy a cavity-free future.
What is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist?
When a Pediatric Dentist is Board Certified it means that the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry or ABPD certifies that the dental care being provided is based on standards of excellence that lead to high quality oral health care for infants, children, adolescents and patients with special health care needs. Certification by the ABPD provides assurance to the public that a Pediatric Dentist, like Dr. Kate, successfully completed accredited training and a voluntary examination process designed to continually validate the knowledge, skills and experience necessary to the delivery of quality patient care.

Our Reviews...
Trusted by parents, loved by kids.
"I took my 11 month old in for her very first visit and the whole experience was great start to finish. The entire staff was friendly and knowledgeable from the initial call to set up the appointment to checking out. All of my questions were answered and we were given resources for our specific needs. Dr. Kate was wonderful and so patient and kind with my reserved little one. I would most certainly recommend Stanley Pediatric Dentistry to friends and family."

"Absolutely wonderful! They made our visit so fun and upbeat. My son can’t wait for his next cleaning."
-Bethany C., google
"We have always had a great experience here. The ambiance is lovely with a fun, dinosaur theme that kids love but it also soothing and pleasant for adults. My son loves the frozen yogurt/custard treat he gets afterwards, too."
-Laura R., Google
"My 4 year old had major anxiety about going to the dentist. HUGE shoutout to Shelby who IMMEDIATELY put my girl at ease and made the entire experience not only tolerable, but enjoyable! Shelby walked her through every single step of the appointment in a calm, patient, and positive manner and it helped my daughter tremendously. By the end of the appointment and for the rest of the day, my daughter wouldn’t stop saying how fun she thought the dentist was. She loved the kid’s play area as well! The twisters custard afterwards was a huge win too! This place and the people who work there were amazing!"

Establishing Your Child’s Dental Home
The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry encourages parents and other care providers to help every child establish a dental home by 12 months of age. Establishing a dental home provides some key components to dental care for your child including...
• Comprehensive oral health care including acute care and preventive services.
• Individualized preventive dental health program based upon a caries-risk assessment.
• Anticipatory guidance regarding growth and development.
• Plan for acute dental trauma (emergencies).
• Dietary counseling.
• Referrals to dental specialists when care cannot directly be provided within the dental home.
• Referral at an age determined by patient, parent, and pediatric dentist.
